With over 10 years experience in the industry, Aeni has worked behind the scenes as a makeup artist on various TV and film sets, theatre shows, concerts, photoshoots, conferences, and special events.
Beginning her career as a freshman in college at the University of Arizona, Aeni made her makeup services available to film students and actors while getting her required credits towards a BA in Theatre Arts and a minor in Art History. It was there that she was introduced to wigs and hairstyling, both valuable and useful skills.
After graduating, she was accepted to Vancouver Film School for Makeup Design in 2007 and graduated at the top of her class. With a fully rounded education not just in beauty makeup, but in prosthetics creation and application as well, she returned to Phoenix in 2008 and has been working as a full-time freelance artist for new and returning clients both in Arizona and across the United States.
What clients are saying...
She asks questions and understands exactly what we need for the project- then executes perfectly. Having a makeup artist be a team player is vital to successful projects. She watches for details and even offers to hold reflectors or whatever we need to make the shot. Because of all of this, and her attention to hygiene which is really important to me, she's only one of two makeup artists I invite to work in my studio. - Diane W, photographer
I didn't get a chance to thank you for the wonderful job you did on Wes' bald cap. When he arrived up stairs, all of us, were jaw dropped. - Frank K, commercial director
I've worked with Aeni a number of times for a variety of different photo shoots, from personal tests to model comps and more. She is always professional and knows just what it takes to get the job done right - even under changing schedules and moving locations. - Matt Dutile, travel and lifestyle photographer
Aeni has everything a makeup artist needs to have: Brains, personality, chops, drive, and curiosity. Aeni graduated from the well-known VFS makeup effects program in Vancouver, and I suspect when she completed her education there she was at the same level or beyond many of her instructors. While we will all continue to improve as the industry continues to evolve around us, Aeni's skills are well-honed already, and she will be a terrific addition to any makeup team savvy enough to recognize how much she can bring to the party! - Todd Debreceni, makeup artist and author of Special Makeup Effects for Film and TV
